Indigenous Prairie Archeology Institute
This project, occuring at the Institute of Prairie and Indigenous Archaeology at the University of Alberta, explores how Indigenous and non-Indigenous people can build good relations in the practice of archaeology, a discipline which has been deeply extractive and colonial, and how archaeologists have objectified the belongings of the ancestors and seeks to reframe these belongings as part of a complex web of reciprocal relational responsibility.
