On February 11, 2025, the Directors of CAIR came together to discuss governing related matters for CAIR moving forward.
From September 22-25, 2024, six scholars involved with the CAIR project (Lisa, Ryan, Tasha, Robb, Daniel, Peyton), attended the 10-year anniversary event honouring the Buffalo Treaty. This event provided an opportunity for all involved to visit with their Buffalo relative sand renew their relationships with the Buffalo Treaty. The event was hostedd by the Kainai Nation, Maotokiiksi (Buffalo Women's Society), and the International Buffalo Relations Institute.
On September 18, 2024, CAIR Network members gathered together in Banff, Alberta, Canada to meaningfully connect and visit on matters related to CAIR.
In July 2024 CAIR project director, Dr. Matthew Wildcat, moderated a community discussion on Indigenous approaches that centre principles of relationality. The chat involved leading experts including Dr. Shalene Jobin, Brent Boisvert, and Jenna (JJ) Broomfield, and was presented by Chartered Professionals in Human Resources Alberta (CPHR AB) in collaboration with Faculty of Native Studies at the University of Alberta.
During the Red River Retreat, the CAIR project supported the coming together of 16 people from 7 universities to speak on matters related to relationality.
In April 2024, CAIR project member, Ryan, attended the Blackfoot Gender Justice Workshop.
