Project Description

The research team, Iapi debwewin aansaamb, works to foster inter-Indigenous partnerships and co-creative research methods which reflect our shared and regional relationalities. Our Dakȟótiyapi-Anishinaabemowin-Southern Michif name, Iapi debwewin aansaamb, which translates to “we speak truth together,” comes from a deep respect for one another’s Nations, our gendered historical densities, and reflects a commitment to fostering multi-lingual inter-Indigenous relationalities and futurities. Our research team is committed to nourishing ongoing collaborations and networking opportunities among Indigenous content creators and world-builders. This project, will support the co-creation of an in-print multi-media publication and the facilitation of three knowledge mobilization workshops: each workshop will be grounded in one of three publication-related themes and led by three corresponding Indigenous subject experts and community researchers. Each workshop will focus on a key theme—1) Eclipses, 2) Seasons, and 3) Relational Futurities.
